Convert National Cathedral project into hospital – TUC to govt

The National Cathedral project should be turned into a national hospital, according to the Trades Union Congress.

The transformation of the cathedral project into a hospital will better serve Ghanaians’ needs, according to TUC Secretary-General Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, who was speaking during the 2023 May Day parade in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

The TUC also urged the government to get involved in efforts to raise money, but it cautioned against overusing regressive levies that would hurt small firms in the area.

She claims that the global financial crisis has made the government’s mishandling of the public purse apparent and that the IMF bailout that the government is requesting will not solve our economic problems but instead place an even greater burden on the typical Ghanaian worker.
