ECG releases nationwide ‘Dumsor’ timetable
A nationwide load-shedding schedule has been announced by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in response to a decrease in power generation brought on by the closure of the Atuabo gas processing facility.
Load-shedding, which began on Thursday, March 30, will continue through Friday, April 7, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) is performing maintenance work at Atuabo, which is why there is a shortfall in electricity generation, according to a statement from the ECG. Please find below a load management plan for the period of time between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, to Friday, April 7, 2023.
Greater Accra, Volta, Ashanti, Western, Eastern, Central, Tema, and Ashanti will all be impacted.
In its statement, the ECG made a plea, saying, “We call on our customers to bear the inconvenience with us while the Ghana Gas Processing Plant undertakes this all-important maintenance activity.”
