I’ll retain Ayawaso West Wuogon seat – Lydia Alhassan

Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Deputy Majority Whip, has stated optimism in winning the 2024 election.
She stated this when she registered her nomination for the next NPP Primaries. Samuel Owusu Amankwah, a former youth organiser for the party in the constituency, is challenging her.
The MP was joined by some constituency executives and delegates as they marched through Dzorwulu streets to file the nomination.
Lydia Seyram Alhassan told Citi News after filing her nomination that delegates will vote for her because of the development projects her office has undertaken.
“First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to my constituents, who are all appreciative of the good work that I am doing and have done thus far.” As a result, they believe, and they will never let anyone else to come in anymore, except for me to do what I am doing.”
“As you are aware, for the first time in the history of this constituency, land is scarce, making the construction of a new educational facility such as a SHS difficult, but by the grace of God, we will be commissioning the first SHS in this constituency in March.”
“We built a hospital and more schools, and the roads are all over the place.” There are astroturfs and other options. As a result, the constituents considered it prudent for me to continue what I’m doing…”I will remain their humble servant,” she stated.
