Nominations for the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries have officially ended. Ten of the 11 flagbearer candidates who chose to submit nomination forms did so successfully.
On Saturday, June 24, Essikado-Ketan Member of Parliament Joe Ghartey was the last to submit his forms for presidential nomination.
The seasoned legislator stated that he is prepared to significantly alter the political landscape.
Joe Ghartey arrived at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down to complete the necessary formalities accompanied by a large group of enthusiastic supporters.
Mr. Ghartey, a seasoned lawyer who also served as Minister of Justice and Attorney General, has previously stressed the significance of unity and inclusivity in his campaign.
He vowed to zero in on cultivating financial development, killing debasement, and working on the expectations for everyday comforts of all Ghanaians.
Mr. Ghartey envisioned an NPP that promotes equal opportunities for all Ghanaians after introducing the “Justice For All” program during the administration of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
Mr. Ghartey, a former Minister of Railways Development and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, aims to revitalize the NPP and provide opportunities for young people and party executives to serve Ghana if he wins the primaries and is elected president in 2024.
