King Promise wins Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards

Ghanaian musician King Promise has been named the Best Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste at the 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

 

King Promise, who has been dominating the Afrobeat and Afropop scene in Ghana for some years now, beat other strong contenders in the category such as Camidoh, Gyakie, KiDi, Wendy Shay and Kelvyn Boy to clinch the award.

The artiste, known for hits such as “CCTV”, “Tokyo”, and “Bra”, expressed his gratitude to his fans and everyone who has supported him in his musical journey.

 

The Best Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste category recognizes the most outstanding performer in the Afrobeat/Afropop genre for the year under review. The VGMA is the most prestigious music awards scheme in Ghana and celebrates the best of Ghanaian music annually.
