The government has refuted claims that recent improvements to the Kumawu Constituency’s infrastructure are intended to influence voters ahead of the by-election.
The town, which had not seen any significant updates throughout the long term, has encountered huge improvement in the beyond couple of days.
Various untarred streets in the space have been cleared, and development of new streets is in progress.
After Philip Basoah’s death in March, Kumawu residents will elect a new MP on Tuesday, May 23.
The resistance Public Majority rule Congress and a few occupants see the new ventures in the electorate as vote purchasing.
However, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako Atta, told journalists that these projects were already underway and were not a direct result of the upcoming by-election.
The contractor had already procured the entire road project. From Juaben to Kumawu, residents of this region will be living witnesses to the outcomes of the May 23 byelection.
“They will see whether the contractor is going to stop working, and it will shame all of this false information,” the contractor said.
