No Ghanaian should be killed for peaceful elections, according to Bawumia

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his commitment to making sure the general election of 2024 is peaceful and devoid of violence.

throughout his Sunday, August 25, interview with journalists in Accra, Dr. Bawumia stressed how crucial it is to safeguard voters throughout the election time and avoid any fatalities.

Concerned about the use of divisive language on political platforms, he advocated for an emphasis on positive political participation.

Allow me to reaffirm my unwavering commitment to peaceful, fair, and free elections in December. Obtaining political power shouldn’t be the goal in and of itself. It need to be based on the goal of improving lives and Ghana, our motherland, for all of us.

“It’s getting more and more concerning that some people have become known for using inflammatory language and making threats of fire and brimstone if the good people of Ghana allow a group other than their own to rule.”

While turmoil and violence don’t benefit anyone. It is important to emphasize that no Ghanaian should ever be killed in the name of power.

Dr. Bawumia pledged the party’s resolve to running a respectable and issue-based campaign, expressing the NPP’s determination to put their ideals above those of other parties.

“As we have always done, our party is resolved to present our ideas and show that we are better than anything the other party has to offer. Together with the NPP, I promise to run a campaign based on principles and behave like a group deserving of democracy.
