The management of 2M Express Company Limited has conveyed its sincere concern over the collision on March 26, 2023, between one of their vehicles and other commercial transportation on the Accra to Kumasi highway.
On Sunday, March 26, 2023, an accident close to Bunso intersection claimed the lives of nine people while treating others at a number of medical facilities.
2M expressed their sympathies to the families of those who passed away.
In a statement, the business wished the injured people a quick recovery and pledged its support for the victims and their families.
The management, however, dismissed assertions that its driver was to blame for the collision, despite the company’s claim that it is coordinating with the police to resolve the problem.
“There are rumors that the collision was caused by a 2M Express bus that was speeding and diverted, but this is untrue. The tracking system put in place by the business to guarantee the security and safety of its employees and customers reveals that the 2M Express driver was moving at 91 kilometers per hour, which suggests he was not operating at peak speed.
Contrary to false reports, a 14-seater GPRTU minibus, similar to the 2M Express Toyota Hiace Bus, was traveling from Kumasi to Accra when it veered off the road and into the path of the 2M Express bus, which was traveling from Accra to Kumasi, according to the company. The fatal collision took place at 3:45 am.
The GPRTU minibus driver was forced to suddenly skid in the direction of the 2M Express bus, which was “on its right lane at 91km per hour and not over speeding,” according to 2M Express, because of a cargo container that had derailed from a trailer truck from an earlier accident and been left on the road.
“2M Express will never put the lives of its passengers in danger while providing very safe, comfortable, and convenient transportation services.”
The corporation urged the general people not to fear because it wouldn’t jeopardize their safety and security while driving.
“2M Express has a five-year driving record of excellence and a 99.9999% safety rating, making it the most dependable transport service provider in Ghana right now. roughly 1,500 people are transported daily by 2M, which employs roughly 130 people (mainly drivers). The business follows a thorough hiring procedure and only selects the best drivers. Additionally, it periodically provides the drivers with ongoing training and ensures a secure and comfortable journey.
