Over 9,000 teachers fail 2023 licensure exams

Approximately thirty percent, or 9,556, of the 20,181 teachers that took the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3 did not pass.

The National Teaching Council (NTC) states that on Thursday, December 21, 2023, the results will be formally announced.

According to a National Teaching Council (NTC) announcement, 10,625 teachers—or 52.6%—passed the tests.

The statement stated, “On Thursday, December 21, 2023, the National Teaching Council (NTC) is scheduled to release the results of the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3.”

There were 20,181 contestants in all.

10,625 (52.6%) passed overall.

9,556 failures in total (47.4%)

According to the Council, candidates will be able to view their results by using their special examination pins to access the results, which will be published on the website.

“All candidates can use their phone numbers or the pins they received during registration to check their examination index numbers from the NTC online portal at exam.ntc.gov.gh.” It is recommended that candidates print their provisional certificates after reviewing their test results.
