Seven people have been arrested in connection with a tragic incident at Afigya Kwabre South.
Seven people have been detained for their suspected involvement in the slaughtering of three people at Kyekyire near Brongkong in the Ashanti Region’s Afigya Kwabre South area.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on December 30, 2023, as a consequence of a fight between two groups of young men.
The assembly member for the Kyekyire-Kyerease electoral area, Joyce Osei Assibey, verified this to Citi News.
She claimed that a group of young males holding weapons started throwing stones at people and destroyed automobiles at their Kyekyire home.
In reaction, the young men clashed with the group, resulting in three deaths and several injuries.
Seven people were arrested as a result of their claimed involvement in the conduct.
The assembly member for the area, Joyce Osei Assibey, revealed that the villagers are living in fear as a result of the incident, with some fleeing their houses.
