There have been several calls from the masses for Stonebwoy’s gun license to be revoked due to his “bad temperament.” It is on several occasions the Dancehall musician has pulled a gun in heat of a misunderstanding with the recent one happening last Monday 10th August 2020.
Stonebwoy physically assaulted Sarkodie’s manager who goes by the name Angel Town causing an injury to one of his eyes in the process. Here are the three occasions Stonebwoy has pulled a gun in the midst of misunderstanding between him and his own industry people.
1. Champs Bar in Tema.
It was the first time Stonebwoy was seen publicly pulling up a gun to face a misunderstanding against his former management, Xylofon media, particularly Bulldog when they tried driving away his car believed to belong to the record label in March 2018.
2. VGMA 2019
A year after the Champs Bar incident in Tema, this time around on a bigger stage which had millions watching around the world, Stonebwoy in a heat of a misunderstanding between him and fellow artist Shatta Wale pulled a gun on the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 stage.
Stonebwoy cited he needed to defend himself from “enemy” Shatta Wale who tried climbing the stage after Stonebwoy’s name was mentioned for an award.
3.Sarkodie Black Love Album Virtual Concert Rehearsal.
It is the most recent time Stonebwoy has pulled a gun in from of his peers. This time, it was targeted at Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town when they needed to rehearse for the upcoming Black Love-Virtual Concert slated for August 16th, 2020. Before the gun was pulled, Stonebwoy had punched Angel Town in the right eye which landed him at the hospital last Monday.
However, the Black Love-Virtual Concert will still go ahead without Stonebwoy. Top Ghanaian artists including King Promise, Amakye Dede, Yaw Sarpong, Efya, Kidi, Afia, and Joey B have all been confirmed to perform during the event which starts at 5 pm.
