UEW 27th Congregation: Council Chair Urges Graduands to Continue Displaying Ingenuity

The 2023 graduates of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have been given the assignment to create quick and creative remedies to the current local and global concerns. Nana Ofori Ansah I, the Chairman of the Governing Council of UEW.

He emphasized the need for graduates to always remind themselves of their contribution to finding solutions to issues as they arise.

These comments were made by the Council Chairman during the 27th Congregation’s opening session, which was held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on the North Campus of Winneba.

Your capacity for hard work, commitment, seriousness, humility, perseverance, self-discipline, determination, and enthusiasm for achievement in this life will determine how successful you are today and in the future, he said. “Remember that the University of Education, Winneba, has thoroughly refined you with the knowledge to navigate the global economic climate. Use your education wisely to make a great difference in the world.

Graduates were advised by Nana Ofori Ansah to use their degrees as a springboard for success in the real world. He exhorted them to continue learning, progressing, and developing intellectually.

“You have received your degree, in fact. Congratulations!!! Getting a college degree is an important part of life. The good news is that this marks the start of your life’s next stage. At this stage, you can trip or lose your bearings in the environment. It’s possible that you don’t fully understand the role that education could play in your search for success in life. You must resolve the issue, he said.

The Council Chairman gave the graduates the assignment to locate employment that would challenge them academically and encourage personal development. He advised them to be gentle to themselves and accept that life might not always go as to plan. He gave them advice on how to serve humanity and the all-powerful God with firmness and constancy.

Nana Ofori Ansah I also extended his gratitude to the faculty, administrative personnel, all stakeholders, and well-wishers who had contributed to making the UEW a respected center for teacher training in Ghana.

“Once more, if you would allow me to take this occasion to say so, I would want to express my gratitude to the Ghanaian government and the ministry of education for continuing to support our great university. I want to thank the parents, relatives, and friends who cherished this celebration and made time for us to celebrate this joyous occasion in spite of their hectic schedules. The Academic Board, faculties, schools, colleges, and departments have my sincere gratitude for making the required sacrifices to make this occasion possible, he stated.
