The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has fulfilled 80% of the pledges enumerated in their 2020 manifesto, according to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Dr. Bawumia underscored the government’s commitment to fulfilling its commitments during a media engagement on Sunday, August 25.
He contrasted this accomplishment with the record of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, alleging that Mahama only fulfilled 28% of his 2012 manifesto commitments.
Dr. Bawumia underscored the NPP government’s superior track record, citing Mahama’s reported failure to fulfill 203 out of 280 promises in his 2012 manifesto.
He stated, “I believe that we have a very good track record of fulfilling our commitments.” After conducting research on our 2016 manifesto, we have determined that 83% of the manifestos have been honored. Additionally, we have fulfilled or are in the process of fulfilling 80 percent of the 2020 promises in our manifesto, despite the fact that we are in the midst of all of these crises.
“When my opponent was elected president in 2012, he only fulfilled 28% of the 280 promises in his manifesto. He failed to fulfill 203 of the 280 promises.” Therefore, I believe that we have a more successful track record of fulfilling our commitments.
